Church COVID Update

Church COVID Update

I missed being here this past Sunday to worship together, but it was a great time in Miami with Pastor Eric Bancroft and Grace Church Miami. God is doing great things and growing up a fantastic church down there. What a privilege to support such a solid and faithful work. And I’m so thankful for Steve Richardson’s faithful preaching here in my place.

As many of you are aware, our church is dealing with a lot of sickness right now. We don’t know all the exact kinds of sickness that everyone has, but we do know that several people have tested positive for COVID-19. All those who have tested positive are following the recommended protocols. Please pray for each other and especially all those who are sick and dealing with this virus. We all know that there is risk of exposure to this virus wherever you go, but we want you to have whatever information you need to have as you make decisions.

With the increase of positive tests and other kinds of sickness, please be wise. If you are sick, stay home and tune in to the livestream worship service. If you are healthy, please feel free to come to church wearing a mask. If you need help with anything, please reach out to let us know. We believe it is essential for us to gather together for worship as a church, so we are not planning to cancel Sunday morning worship or any of our ministries as long as we have enough healthy people to lead and serve. We need each other, and we need to be together. Short-term isolation might be wise, but long-term isolation is dangerous and devastating.

Please be careful and unafraid. All of our lives are held firmly in God’s strong hands, and He sovereignly determines the allotted timing and boundaries for each of us (Acts 17:26). Rejoice and rest assured that He is working all of this together for good for His own (Rom. 8:28). He is our refuge and strength and very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear even if the earth gives way and mountains are moved into the ocean or the earth shakes (Ps. 46:1-3). In Christ, all is well. Love each other well, and pray for each other faithfully. Satan keeps on wanting and working to divide us in all of this so do not let him.

Love you all.

 Pastor Kirk
