COVID Reminders

COVID Reminders

Hi Church Family!

I’m sure most of you heard our governor announce new executive orders and additional COVID restrictions yesterday. Thankfully our government continues to make exceptions for churches gathering without capacity limitations. But in light of the fact that we are being told that cases are increasing again, we want to remind you please wear a mask when you come to church on Sundays. In addition to the COVID concerns, more of us are getting sick with the “normal” stuff that happens as winter gets closer and closer. Wearing a mask has become something that all of us have been forced to get used to, so wearing it to church should not really be a big deal to any of us at this point. And again, regardless of your view of masks and their effectiveness, you can wear it as a way to show love and preference for your brothers and sisters in Christ who feel differently than you do.

We are very thankful not to be in a scenario in which our government is forbidding us from gathering as a church family. That time may come. But for now, let’s rejoice together every time we are together to worship and fellowship and learn from God’s word. Our fervent and faithful love for each other is the way the world knows that we are followers of Jesus (John 13:35). Walk with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, and continue to eagerly maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace (Eph. 4:2-3). Please pray for one another, too. We’ve seen God do so many amazing things in our church family during these challenging days, and we will get through this together as God continues to faithfully provide all that we need.

You are loved!
